Training for strength doesn't mean diet goes out the window. You can absolutely maximize your results with what you eat and the supps you take. Here's how! Jim Stoppani's 6-Week Shortcut To Strength http://bbcom.me/2tcNvI2 Jim Stoppani's Recommended Muscle-Building Supplements http://bbcom.me/2tgZzZ1 Rule 1 - Eat Plenty of Protein Protein is the main driver of muscle growth and should be the number one priority in your nutrition plan. Strive for at least 1 gram of protein per pound of bodyweight, and consider going as high as 1.5 grams per pound, especially when following an intense training regimen like this one. Rule 2 - Eat (Protein) Frequently Recent research suggests that consuming protein every 4-6 hours is optimal to maximize muscle growth, not 3 hours like I've told you to before. Why? This timeframe supposedly provides your muscle machinery with the resources it needs to maximize growth while also ensuring it has an adequate "break" soon after before repeating the process. Rule 3 - Get Ample Fats If protein is your highest priority, fat is next on the list. It plays a major role in supporting muscle growth, health, and performance, so don't neglect itperiod. Initially, after I started examining ketogenic intake, my primary goal terminated up being to shed further pounds. I am what I decided a "recovering fatass," in mere constant means that somebody UN agency has quit drinking might all right be called a "recovering alcoholic." I've struggled with my weight all my life, and that I expect that though I can accomplish the goals I've selected (and I will), the struggle won't be over. I believe this can be a crucial realization for anyone attempting to reduce to possess. However, that's a subject matter for one more day. Here is our link about Shortcut to Ketosis. The first issue that thespian ME into a ketogenic diet as the way to reduce was any time you strictly limit your macromolecule intake, you will be able to force (I'm keen on language "train") your system to settle on fat as fuel as critical counting on crabs. I am inquisitive about life-hacking and "mind over matter," and also the smooth undeniable fact that I would be taking further management of my body became a giant incentive. Here's the workout : http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/jim-stoppani-six-week-shortcut-to-shred.html
I'm a 19 year old guy who's been doing SKD for about 4 months know with decent success. I'm about 234lbs with around 27 percent BF.
I used to do SL 5x5 but stopped after I messed up my back. I got a really strong base with SL so now I want to essentially shred all of my excess fat off.
I've heard good stuff about this program but it looks way harder than anything I've ever done.
I was on SKD while doing SL and felt fine for the majority of it but I've seen people struggle using SKD in a program like this.
I've never done TKD before and for those who've done it: are the pre workout carbs essential to workouts or is just a subtle boost? I already supplement with creatine FWIW.
I'm not planning on attempting CKD. I feel all hell would break lose if I tried it.
Does anyone know about this program? It has a diet plan to go with it but the amount of carbs in it are way higher than keto would allow.
Also another question. Is 1g per pound of lean body mass enough to throw you out of ketosis? Also in my case it would be around 175g of protein and that seems hard... Would drinking 3-4 protein shakes a day be dangerous?
A lot of questions r/ketogains, I'd appreciate if you help me out!

We’re stepping back in time today! I’m celebrating my 1 ½ year anniversary of eating high-fat and, because I receive so many questions about making the transition, I’m reading excerpts from the journal that I kept during the 30-day transition to high-fat living. From the very beginning, I’ve focused on a grain-free, dairy-free, whole foods ketogenic approach. While my carb counts, tracking, and macros have shifted along the way, the expe ...

  • Ketoacidosis Vs Ketosis

This is a summary/extract from The Ketogenic Diet by Lyle McDonald. Ketosis occurs in a number of physiological states including fasting (called starvation ketosis), the consumption of a high fat diet (called dietary ketosis), and immediately after exercise (called post-exercise ketosis). Two pathological and potentially fatal metabolic states during which ketosis occurs are diabetic ketoacidosis and alcoholic ketoacidosis. The major difference b ...

  • Nutritional Ketosis And Starvation Ketosis

Ketosis is a metabolic state in which some of the body's energy supply comes from ketone bodies in the blood, in contrast to a state of glycolysis in which blood glucose provides most of the energy. Ketosis is a nutritional process characterised by serum concentrations of ketone bodies over 0.5 mM, with low and stable levels of insulin and blood glucose.[1][2] It is almost always generalized with hyperketonemia, that is, an elevated level of keto ...

  • How Ketosis Works

Unlike many fad diets that come and go with very limited rates of long-term success, the ketogenic diet (or keto diet) has been practiced for more than nine decades (since the 1920s) and is based upon a solid understanding of physiology and nutrition science. Rather than relying on counting calories, limiting portion sizes, resorting to extreme exercise or requiring lots of willpower (even in the face of drastically low energy levels), the ketoge ...
