    The past 3 weeks I've been monitoring my calories, staying around 1300 calories (I'm 6' 1" 220lbs). And lifting 5-6 times a week. He stated that having a calorie deficit won't guarantee weight loss and could effect your gains.
    My main goal is to get down to 12-15% body fat
    Should I switch my diet up?

    A calorie deficit is one of the only things that guarantee's weight loss. As for CKD itself, most never are at the point where they would need to do it, and even then the benefits are questionable. For those on Keto who need a little extra boost, TKD works fine (check out the wiki in /r/ketogains). Either way, even on CKD you would need to just do plain Keto for a couple months to let your body adapt to Ketosis.

    You are 100% guaranteed to lose muscle when you fast. Your body is starving, and sees survival as eating muscle to reduce caloric expenditure.
    Keto by itself is an extremely efficient way to lose fat. Remember, you want to lose fat, not weight. Weight = muscle + fat.

    Umm you are using fat as your primary energy srouce ALL the time while in ketosis so I dont see the point of fasted cardio unless you want to risk muscle loss.

    I read once that bad breath can be caused by hunger (also bad diet) – something to do with the stomach acids. I bet it stops after a while though, and I bet it is helped by drinking more.
