What Is A Hemoglobin A1c Test?

    Hello everyone , my name is Evlin and i'm here asking begging for help.
    My A1C as 01/31/2012 was/is 9.7, of course i went to my doctor and he changed me from Glyburide/met 5/500 to Tradjenta, the worse thing is that he's already sending me to an "Insulin educator" as he thinks there is no way back for me.
    Please I need help my biggest problem is "my Sweet Tooth"
    I really don't want to get there, trust me i'm trying my best but, i just dont know how can i control the craving for sweets.

    I have also had that problem, and it took a while to get over it. The way to start is to remove the temptation. You have to make a decision that you won't buy sweets, ever. And don't have any of them in the house. If you don't eat them for a while, the craving will stop. Welcome to the forum .

    I agree with Mark 100%, if you don't have it, you can't eat it. What are your Blood Glucose Level readings when you feel the Sweet Tooth attack? Insulin is a tool but not a license to eat things that are high carbohydrate or high sugar.
    Many have found that a sugar free gelatin and the frozen whipped topping helps ease the sugar cravings. No easy way to get over it, you just have to do the right thing. Most of us have been where you are at.
