List Of People With Diabetes Mellitus Type 1

This is a dynamic list and may never be able to satisfy particular standards for completeness. You can help by expanding it with reliably sourced entries. Diabetes mellitus type 1, also known as type 1 diabetes, or T1DM (formerly known as insulin-dependent diabetes or juvenile diabetes) is a condition in which the body does not produce insulin, resulting in high blood sugar levels in the body.[1][2] Whereas type 2 diabetes is typically diagnosed in middle age and treated via diet, oral medication and/or insulin therapy, type 1 diabetes tends to be diagnosed earlier in life, and people with type 1 diabetes require insulin therapy for survival.[1] The following is a list of notable people—including writers, artists, athletes, entertainers, and others—who have been documented as having type 1 diabetes. How to bring down A1C?

Just had my 1st follow up woth my Dr. since my T2 diagnosis in May. Weight down by 20 lb., A1C 6.1 (down from 6.4). He wants me to get my A1C below 6. I don't know in general what is an acceptable quantity of carbs to eat on a daily basis or how this can affect my A1C in the long run. I am scheduled for diabetic education in September but am ready to make changes now. Can anyone give me some advice?
