Voglibose Glimepiride Metformin Hydrochloride Tablets

Glimepiride is used to lower the blood sugar levels in type 2 diabetes mellitus when diet, physical exercise and weight reduction alone are not adequate. Metformin is an antidiabetic medicine that helps to control blood sugar in people with type 2 diabetes mellitus. Voglibose is used to reduce high post meal glucose level in diabetes mellitus in patients who have been using other diabetic medications. Glimepiride belongs to a blood sugar lowering group of medicines called sulfonylurea. Glimepiride increases the amount of insulin released by the pancreas, and thereby decreases the blood sugar level. Metformin belongs to class of medications called antidiabetics. It decreases the amount of glucose absorbed from the food and the amount ofglucose made by liver. Metformin also increases the body's response to insulin(a natural substance that controls the amount of glucose in the blood). Voglibose belongs to the class of medications that lowers blood sugar called anti-hyperglycemics (alpha-glucosidase inhibitor). Voglibose delays the digestion and absorption of carbohydrate in the intestine by inhibiting intestinal enzyme (alpha glucosidase) which results in reduction of increase in blood glucose level after meal. It may be used alone, or in combination with insulin or another oral medicine such as metformin. In type 2 diabetes, insulin produced by the pancreas is not able to get sugar into the cells of the body where it can work properly. Using this medicine will help lower blood sugar when it is too high and help restore the way you use food to make energy.. Some people can control type 2 diabetes with diet alone or diet and exercise. Following a specially planned diet and exercising will always be important when you have diabetes, even when you are taking medicines. To work properly, the amount of glimepiride you take must be balanced against the amount and type of food you eat and the amount of exercise you do. If you change your diet, your exercise, or both, you will want to test your blood sugar to find out if it is too low. Your doctor will teach you what to do if this happens. Metformin hydrochloride is an oral diabetes medicine that helps control blood sugar levels. Metformin hydrochloride is for people with type 2 diabetes. What Is The Effect Of Combination Of Voglibose+ Metformin+glimipride Drug In Diabetes?

what is the effect of combination of Voglibose+ metformin+Glimipride Drug in diabetes? The doctor will decide what is right for you based on your medical history.Without knowing the medical history if you follow somebody's advise,it will be like going on a blind path. Voglibose is an alpha-glucosidase inhibitor used for lowering post-prandial blood glucose levels in people with diabetes mellitus. Voglibose delays the absorption of glucose thereby reduces the risk of macrovascular complications. Metformin is used alone or with other medications, including insulin, to treat type 2 diabetes (condition in which the body does not use insulin normally and, therefore, cannot control the amount of sugar in the blood). Metformin is in a class of drugs called biguanides. Metformin helps to control the amount of glucose (sugar) in your blood. It decreases the amount of glucose you absorb from your food and the amount of glucose made by your liver. Metformin also increases your body's response to insulin, a natural substance that controls the amount of glucose in the blood. Glimepiride is used along with diet and exercise, and sometimes with other medications, to treat type 2 diabetes (condition in which the body does not use insulin normally and, therefore, cannot control the amount of sugar in the blood). Glimepiride lowers blood sugar by causing the pancreas to produce insulin (a natural substance that is needed to break down sugar in the body) and helping the body use insulin efficiently. This medication will only help lower blood sugar in people whose bodies produce insulin naturally. Continue reading >>

Prandial M Tablets | Ciplamed

Prandial M Tablets | Ciplamed

PRANDIAL M contains two oral antihyperglycaemic drugs, voglibose and metformin hydrochloride, used in the management of type 2 diabetes mellitus. Vogliboseinhibits the activity of alpha glucosidases in the intestine, thereby delaying the digestion and absorption of carbohydrates, resulting in improvement of postprandial hyperglycaemia. The primary mechanism of action of metformin hydrochloride is to reduce fasting plasma glucose by decreasing hepatic glucose production and intestinal absorption of glucose, and improving insulin sensitivity by increasing peripheral glucose uptake and utilization. Hence, the combination of voglibose and metformin hydrochloride complement each other and provide better glycaemic control in management of type 2 diabetes and may help prevent its associated macrovascular and microvascular complications. Voglibose is an alpha glucosidase inhibitor which inhibits the activity of alpha glucosidases that catalyse the decomposition of disaccharides into monosaccharides in the intestine, thereby delaying the digestion and absorption of carbohydrates, resulting in improvement of postprandial hyperglycaemia. Metformin improves glucose tolerance in patients with type 2 diabetes (NIDDM), lowering both basal and postprandial plasma glucose. Metformin is not chemically or pharmacologically related to sulphonylureas, thiazolidinediones, or alpha-glucosidase inhibitors. Metformin decreases hepatic glucose production, decreases intestinal absorption of glucose, and improves insulin sensitivity by increasing peripheral glucose uptake and utilization. Unlike sulphonylureas, metformin does not produce hypoglycaemia in either patients with type 2 diabetes or normal subjects and does not cause hyperinsulinaemia. With metformin therapy, insulin secretion remains Continue reading >>
