How To Recognize Diabetes Scams

How To Recognize Diabetes Scams

Author's Perspective: There are hundreds of scams, but, there are two scams on the Internet that seem to be the most prolific and profitable -- health/diabetes-related scams and financial/business-related scams. Why? Because health problems and financial problems are the two major problems that most of us will face at some point in our lives. This makes us susceptible to slick marketing schemes that convince us to spend our money, hoping for the best. Unfortunately, in most cases, we end up losing our money. What's that old saying? "If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is." FYI: Because of these scams, I realized that people would find it difficult to believe that I had a blood glucose level of 1337 and weaned myself off insulin. So I obtained a printed copy of my personal medical file from my primary care physician and made about 100 copies to handout at health fairs and other community events. Later, I had the document scanned in order to create a medical PDF file for my website. That helped a little, but, it wasn't until my story ended up in the newspaper that a lot more people believed my story. Later on, I started to get phone calls and emails asking if my program would reverse their diabetes in 30 days or less. When I said "No", most of them hung up and didn't care for an explanation. Later, some of those same people returned because they found out that the book or the program that they had purchased didn't reverse their diabetes in 100 days let alone 30 days. Now that they realized that I was telling them the truth, they asked me to explain why their diabetes couldn't be reversed in 30 days. After several months of getting phone calls and emails about these diabetes scams, I decided to create this diabetes scam web page so that people could recognize the Continue reading >>

Type 2 Diabetes And The Diet That Cured Me

Type 2 Diabetes And The Diet That Cured Me

Why me? At 59 I was 10st 7lb, 5ft 7in, and had never been overweight. I ran and played cricket regularly and didn't drink alcohol excessively. Yet at a routine check-up I was told that I had type 2 diabetes. In 10 years I could be dependent on insulin, it could affect my sight, feet, ears, heart and I had a 36% greater chance of dying early. In type 1 diabetes, the body produces none of the insulin that regulates our blood sugar levels. Very high glucose levels can damage the body's organs. Patients with type 2 diabetes, however, do produce insulin - just not enough to keep their glucose levels normal. Because I was fit and not overweight (obesity is a major risk factor in type 2 diabetes; however, a number of non-obese people, particularly members of south Asian communities, are also prone to it), my doctor told me I could control my condition with diet alone. Desperate for information, I headed to the web, where I found a report about a research trial at Newcastle University led by Professor Roy Taylor. His research suggested type 2 diabetes could be reversed by following a daily 800-calorie diet for eight weeks. When our bodies are deprived of normal amounts of food they consume their own fat reserves, with the fat inside organs used up first. The idea of Taylor's diet is to use up the fat that is clogging up the pancreas and preventing it from creating insulin, until normal glucose levels return. With my GP's blessing and a home glucose-testing kit, I began my experiment. The diet was strict: three litres of water a day, three 200-calorie food supplements (soups and shakes) and 200 calories of green vegetables. Thanks to my doctor's dietary guidance, and running three times a week, I had already lost a stone. Yet my glucose levels were still above 6mmol/L (millimols Continue reading >>

We Respond To Itv's 'fast Fix: Diabetes' Documentary

We respond to ITV's 'Fast Fix: Diabetes' documentary We respond to ITV's 'Fast Fix: Diabetes' documentary Last night (Wednesday 13 June 2018), the first episode of a two-part documentary, called 'Fast Fix: Diabetes' aired on ITV1. It sees five people with Type 2 diabetes go on an intensive low-calorie diet for eight weeks to see if their condition can be put into remission. Anna Morris is Assistant Director of Research Strategy and Partnership at Diabetes UK. She said: We were not involved in the production of this programme and, while it will no doubt open up an important conversation about how Type 2 diabetes might be treated in the future, its approach isnt as scientifically rigorous as the DiRECT Study it draws inspiration from. We welcome the ongoing spotlight on the effects of low-calorie diets on people with Type 2 diabetes, but long-term, robust evidence is needed to understand how effective this approach could be in practice. The DiRECT study is still underway, working to see if a low calorie diet, alongside support to reintroduce food and maintain weight loss, can put Type 2 diabetes into remission for the long term. The initial results of DiRECT have been very exciting and, while we dont yet have the level of evidence we need to determine if a treatment like this should be made available within the NHS in the future, DiRECT will help us answer these questions. Until then, anyone with Type 2 diabetes considering a low calorie diet should speak to their GP first especially if theyre taking medications like insulin, as it could be dangerous. In the meantime, we recommend maintaining a healthy weight through a balanced diet and regular physical activity. Continue reading >>

11 Day Diabetes Fix Is A Scam! (honest Review)

11 Day Diabetes Fix Is A Scam! (honest Review)

Don’t pay attention to what you’re being told about 11 Day Diabetes Fix by ‘Eric Anderson’ because it is a scam! Please pay attention to this review, as it will reveal all the facts about this atrocity of a program. So sit back, grab your reading glasses (if you use one), and start reading! Created in December 2015, 11 Day Diabetes Fix claims to have the ultimate cure for Type 2 Diabetes. According to Eric, his program works in 3 ways: “Tricks” your body into thinking it ALREADY exercised, instantly dropping weight without moving a muscle Automatically reverses ALL the damage and inflammation that caused your diabetes to begin with All these WITHOUT any need for diets, exercise, drugs, or surgeries. Eric promises that his program will reverse your Type 2 Diabetes in just 11 days. Well we’ll see about that. Basis of 11 Day Diabetes Fix 11 Day Diabetes Fix is based on the belief that Type 2 Diabetes is an autoimmune disease, NOT just a metabolic one. Type 2 Diabetes, Eric says, ‘is NOT caused by obesity, poor diet or blood sugar problems.’ Rather, it is caused by a ‘completely CURABLE infection’ of your immune system aka inflammation. Eric goes on to say that his program is all about a compound called Oligomeric Proanthocyanidins (OPC). This compound is a natural nutrient in ‘a wide variety of plants’ like cocoa … and it has been found to ‘radically’ reduce inflammation and boost immunity. OPC does this by activating AMPK (5′ AMP-activated kinase) – an enzyme that ‘DETERIORATES fat and transports glucose’ hence making you lose weight. Metformin, the drug of choice for Type 2 Diabetes, also works by activating AMPK. But according to Eric, OPC is 200 times more potent than Metformin … and you can get loads of this compound by consum Continue reading >>

ITV documentary The Fast Fix: Diabetes investigates type 2 diabetes remission ITV documentary The Fast Fix: Diabetes investigates type 2 diabetes remission MPs call for ban on cartoon characters appearing on unhealthy food 31 May 2018 A group of people have helped show TV audiences it is possible to reverse type 2 diabetes symptoms after participating in an 800-calorie per day diet for four weeks. On Wednesday ITV broadcast the first part of The Fast Fix: Diabetes, which involved five volunteers with type 2 diabetes who attempted to overhaul their lifestyles in a bid to improve their health. The experiment follows in the vein of Professor Roy Taylor's intervention, dubbed the ' Newcastle diet '. In his study, the DiRECT trial, participants ate a calorie-restricted meal replacement diet for three to five months before re-introducing a greater range of solid foods. This led to type 2 diabetes remission after one year in over half of the participants. In this new experiment, participants were asked to follow a diet of 800 calories a day in the form of four 200-calorie milkshakes that contained all the necessary vitamins and minerals an average person requires. The five overweight or obese participants moved into the Fast Fix Clinic for four weeks where their progress was overseen by GP Dr Zoe Williams and Professor Jason Gill, a leading name in the prevention of type 2 diabetes. Before and after the experiment all the participants had their weight, liver fat percentage and glucose levels measured. After completing the intensive four-week diet, the measurements were taken again with excellent outcomes. One participant completely overturned their type 2 diabetes with no symptoms, having reduced their liver fat percentage from 27.5 to 7.5. The others all saw significantly re Continue reading >>

Is There A Diabetes Cure?

Is There A Diabetes Cure?

With all the research on diabetes and advances in diabetes treatments, it's tempting to think someone has surely found a diabetes cure by now. But the reality is that there is no cure for diabetes -- neither type 1 diabetes nor type 2 diabetes. (Although lifestyle changes can achieve remission in type 2 diabetes in some cases.) However, there are treatments, including simple things you can do daily, that make a big difference. No. Natural therapies such as deep abdominal breathing, progressive muscle relaxation, guided imagery, and biofeedback can help relieve stress. And emotional stress affects your blood sugar levels. So learning to relax is important in managing your diabetes. Supplements don't cure diabetes, either. Some natural supplements may interact dangerously with your diabetes medication. Others have been shown to help improve your diabetes, but always check with your doctor before taking any supplement. Be skeptical about claims of a diabetes cure. A genuine cure will have been tested repeatedly in clinical trials with clear success. Even though there's no diabetes cure, diabetes can be treated and controlled, and some people may go into remission. To manage diabetes effectively, you need to do the following: Manage your blood sugar levels. Know what to do to help keep them as near to normal as possible every day: Check your glucose levels frequently. Take your diabetes medicine regularly. And balance your food intake with medication, exercise, stress management, and good sleep habits. Plan what you eat at each meal. Stick to your diabetes eating plan as often as possible. Bring healthy snacks with you. You’ll be less likely to snack on empty calories. Exercise regularly. Exercise helps you keep you fit, burns calories, and helps normalize your blood gluc Continue reading >>

The Diabetes Fix, found online at TruthAbouAbs.com, is a new health and wellness guide by Mike Geary that promises their customers a simple and effective way to cure and reverse their Type 2 diabetes. According to Mike Geary, a health advocate and researcher, science has finally confirmed a way to reverse Type 2 diabetes with a method that is completely natural and requires no drugs and no injections, even if you are overweight or obese. To use this method, all you have to do is reach your Personal Fat Threshold, which he describes as the magic tipping weight when your body will begin to reverse your diabetes. And the reason why this threshold is so important is because it is the point where your pancreas becomes unclogged enough from fat that it begins to manage your insulin normally once again. The reason why The Diabetes Fix isnt advocating an extreme diet or exercise program is because they say in order to reach this magical point, your pancreas simply needs to lose a single gram of fat. To help people achieve this goal, The Diabetes Fix gives people a superfood-based program which allows you to unclog your pancreas thus reversing your Type 2 diabetes. Their website says that they understand this type of program could easily be priced in the hundreds of dollars, but because they want as many people to have access to it as who need it, they have decided to price it at $45. In addition, they are currently running a program that lets their new customers purchase this guide for just $15, but it is unclear how long this sale will last. This company promises their customers the ability to try this program for 60 days and then request a refund of their purchase price if they are unhappy with their results. In addition, because this product is sold through the Clickbank di Continue reading >>

How To Reverse Diabetes Naturally

How To Reverse Diabetes Naturally

According to the 2017 National Diabetes Statistics Report, over 30 million people living in the United States have diabetes. That’s almost 10 percent of the U.S. population. And diabetes is the seventh leading cause of death in the United States, causing, at least in part, over 250,000 deaths in 2015. That’s why it’s so important to take steps to reverse diabetes and the diabetes epidemic in America. Type 2 diabetes is a dangerous disease that can lead to many other health conditions when it’s not managed properly, including kidney disease, blindness, leg and food amputations, nerve damage, and even death. (1) Type 2 diabetes is a completely preventable and reversible condition, and with diet and lifestyle changes, you can greatly reduce your chances of getting the disease or reverse the condition if you’ve already been diagnosed. If you are one of the millions of Americans struggling with diabetes symptoms, begin the steps to reverse diabetes naturally today. With my diabetic diet plan, suggested supplements and increased physical activity, you can quickly regain your health and reverse diabetes the natural way. The Diabetes Epidemic Diabetes has grown to “epidemic” proportions, and the latest statistics revealed by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention state that 30.3 million Americans have diabetes, including the 7.2 million people who weren’t even aware of it. Diabetes is affecting people of all ages, including 132,000 children and adolescents younger than 18 years old. (2) The prevalence of prediabetes is also on the rise, as it’s estimated that almost 34 million U.S. adults were prediabetic in 2015. People with prediabetes have blood glucose levels that are above normal but below the defined threshold of diabetes. Without proper int Continue reading >>

The Cure For Type 2 Diabetes Is Known, But Few Are Aware

The Cure For Type 2 Diabetes Is Known, But Few Are Aware

The cure for type 2 diabetes is known, but few are aware I recently posted to Facebook about a cure for diabetes and suggested someone try it. Just six days later, I received the following message from a friend: I just wanted to drop you a line and thank you for that post… My lab results at the beginning of the month were 230. After just this last week it’s down to 155. I think I’ll be in normal range within a month. Really miraculous… It’s really been a game changer for me already and I wanted you to know how much I appreciated the info and how much of a difference I think it will make in my life. Four months later, the friend posted this to Facebook: I started on this regiment when Nathan posted about it [four months ago]. My blood glucose level at that time, while taking two daily glucose meds, was 235. Two weeks ago, my [fasting] glucose level, WITHOUT the meds, was 68. If you google “diabetes cure” you are directed to websites like WebMD and the Mayo Clinic where you find information on diet, exercise, medication, and insulin therapy, but nothing about the cure. This lack of information may have to do with the fact that Americans spend $322 billion a year to treat diabetes, $60 billion a year on weight-loss programs, and $124 billion a year on snack foods. This is about 3% of the US economy! Because so many peoples’ livelihoods are supported by diabetes and its main cause, obesity, the viral effect of people getting cured and telling others is greatly diminished. Because of this understandable stifling of the message, if you are like my Facebook friend and have already experienced the type 2 diabetes cure for yourself — there are thousands of you out there — it is important for you to share your success stories as far and wide as possible. You c Continue reading >>
