New management is ensuring DRM principles are being implemented at all facilities and are targeting new markets in Asia. The company is flexible with work hours as long as the objectives are being met. Upper & middle management are risk averse due to compliance concerns of government regulations which is impacting company market share. Product development cycles are typically longer than 12-18 months and the company is chasing competitors instead of leading the market with new product innovation and cost reduced product in new market areas. Company focus appears to be on compliance and not innovation. Investigate parallel development of risk averse next generation products and improve product roadmaps to pursue lower cost, highly innovative products to regain competitive edge and ensure DRM focus to minimize user risks. I have been working at Medtronic full-time(More than 3 years) Benefits, best paying job I've ever had, co-workers (most of them), schedule options, bonuses, raises, and work from home opportunities. The amount/frequency of policy changes, the new training approach for new employees, the new hiring process altogether. Work/Life balance is extensive, but policies lack compassion. The segmented training is frustrating for those of us who easily made it through the old way (6 weeks) of training. Segmented training seems to just cause more confusion (from fully trained reps not knowing who does what, and not being able to push back in-scope calls to new hires, to handle other calls in queue at times) and also just seems to take longer to get more fully-trained reps on the call floor.
