Medtronic- Great Place To Work | Glassdoor.fr

Je travaille chez Medtronic plein temps(Plus d'un an) Great benefits. A lot of overtime if you need the extra money. Food is provided normally during overtime as well. Cafeteria inside the building so you do not HAVE to leave for food. Nice location. Decent pay. Schedule flexibility is decent. The job its self is GREAT, but the staff makes it like high school. FAVORITISM!! FAVORITISM!! That's really all this company is about. If you are not best friends with staff and supervisors - you will go no where within this company. It is really sad because there are some TOP performers who will never get a chance because they are not social butterflies. The company likes to manipulate employees and/for their time. For example, they will groom and prepare reps for a leadership or team lead position, give them all of the work and escalations, have them ACTING in that role for months before they can even interview for said position. The managers always pick their favorites or people they know - or when they decide on other people - there is little to no feedback on why or how to improve for you future interviews/chances. You have to be very direct with management to get anywhere or anything done. The supervisors are so-so. Some work hard - some hardly work. There have been a lot of firings lately which has helped some but there is so much more shady business going on that doesn't get addressed. The same reps who win employee of the month go to eat lunch with their supervisors outside of work - how is that not conflict on interest ?? Supervisors also date lower level reps here. VERY unprofessional. I was shocked to learn that a fortune 500 company does not have some type of no fraternization rule(s) - and if there is one, it is NOT abided by here. Same people "picked" for prizes/aw Continue reading >>

Medtronic Crdm Office Campus Construction - The Opus Group

Linking Employees for Greater Interaction, Collaboration and Ideas Consolidating Cardiac Disease Rhythm Management employees from seven facilities across the Twin Cities, Medtronics Mounds View, Minn., office complex helped create efficiencies for the company and encouraged employee and client collaboration. Medtronic chose Opus integrated team instead of a traditional design-bid-build approach to ensure a guaranteed maximum price and tight schedule. Achieving a Vision with an Integrated Team With a tight schedule and a desire to meet the clients expectations, the Opus teams construction project managers and architects met weekly with the team from Julie Snow Architects. Having all parties at the table allowed the ideas to not only flow but to be grounded in reality with the project management team providing quick cost estimates. According to Architecture Minnesota magazine, this close collaboration yielded one of the best examples in the county of how the budget-focused design-build process can yet incorporate bold and innovative design. The 1.2-million-square-foot office complex, spanning three eight-story towers, was built accommodate 4,800 employees. The complex also includes a 4,000-stall parking garage. One directive from the client was that no work area be more than 60 feet from a window, so the design incorporated the long, narrow towers, referred to as bars, with open space between each building. Because the company provides training and other services directly to physicians, the design also incorporates smart features like more than 200 audio-video capable conference rooms, private hoteling offices and even small niches for the traveling visitors luggage. Catering to the needs of the varied and tech savvy workforce electrical, mechanical and software engineer Continue reading >>

Intergraded Circuits Trainer(Former Employee) Tempe, AZ April 18, 2013 I worked for Medtronic for 26 years. I loved going to work there,It was a great place to work. I learned how to be good employee, to be on time ,to communicate with other employees. Management was great .My cooworkers were great to work with,we all strived to get the best product out because we new that this product was going into someones body and it had to work to keep them alive. There was no hard part of the job.The most enjoyable part of the job is when we had we had community day and we got to meet the people that had our products in them, and how they were so greatful for our products that were keeping them alive Lots of talented people, lots of snakes - mixed bag Marketing(Former Employee) Northridge CA October 24, 2012 I worked at the diabetes SBU for several years. What stands out is that the leadership team were more interested in career advancement than truly living the mission of the company. Lots of politics, lots of people stealing other peoples ideas and passing them off as their own (in hopes of advancement). The LDRP program was a joke, the company used this corporate based structure to staff their marketing department with 'free labor' which corporate paid for - the LDRP people would get there, not have a clue how to get things done in a business environment, not get anything done for a year or so, and move on to the next business unit as the 'golden children' because they had ivy league degrees...creating a revolving door in the marketing department, and ultimately leading to nothing getting done. And then, another LDRP person taking their spot, and so the cycle repeats... Don't get me wrong, I learned a lot, met many great people, and enjoyed some of my time at the diabetes SBU; h Continue reading >>

Supply Management Consultant(Former Employee) San Antonio, TX January 17, 2018 Training classes were approximately 4-5 weeks long and majority of the training was not very useful once you hit the floor. Managers and team members were of no help once you started on the floor and team members seemed annoyed if you asked for help. Team leads seemed to horse around too much and not take their job very seriously; some even abused their power. The facility itself was great but the employees were not very helpful or friendly with the new hires. Everyone seemed very "cliquish" and immature. Diabetes Therapy Consultant(Former Employee) San Antonio, TX December 14, 2017 I was very excited when I started working for Medtronic. My biggest concern is the non transparency within the compnay. I felt like we were lying to our patients everyday in regards to their Insulin Pump Therapy Devices. As Diabetics the patients depended on their Insulin Therapy. I had multiple patients in my pipeline that had been waiting since the beginning of the year for their devices. Physicians were even holding off sending the patients to Medtronic for new devices since we were so backordered. What I miss is helping the patients but it was becoming difficult with the availability of our product. Was this review helpful? Yes8 No Report Continue reading >>

Mounds View 21-year-old found dead in his Arizona State dorm room Its not every day the governor tours an office building. But the new Medtronic digs in Mounds View, where Gov. Tim Pawlenty will join company officials today for a dedication ceremony, isnt just any office building. Here are some other facts about the building, which sits at the intersection of I-35W and U.S. 10: ??About 3,000 people work at the Mounds View facility, which has space for hundreds more. The Medtronic campus suggests a collegiate environment.Blending traditional and modern architecture, the design unites severallow-rise buildings that fit comfortably within a garden-like setting. Numerouscourtyards, loggia, and walkways connect interior spaces with the out-of-doors,and native grasses and trees reinforce the prairie setting. Constructed primarily of limestone from the region andsand-molded brick, the exterior materials were chosen for their natural,earth-hewn qualities and connection to Minnesota. It is a verypedestrian-friendly environment; most vehicular activity and parking isconfined to the north edge of the campus. A sweeping drive past wetland ponds and gardens brings thevisitor to the front courtyard and formal main entry. Flanked on either side bythe gabled facades of the companys two cornerstones, Research and EducationCenters, a soaring four-story atrium signals the site of the Conservatory. Thisdramatic, light-filled 8,100-square-foot space is the centerpiece of theCorporate Center, as well as the front door of the World Headquarters. Designedto accommodate high-tech audio, video, and lighting systems, the 90-by-90-footgreat room with nine 30-by-30-foot skylight monitors is the campus crossroads,as well as corporate stage, and can seat up to 1,200 for gatherings andpresentations of all kinds. Because so many physicians visit Medtronic each year tolearn how best to use its technology, hospitality and tours play key roles.Interactive displays encourage visitors to learn more about Medtronic products, and electronic kiosks convey the companys vision. New Mounds View Campus Is Medtronic's Largest Facility

New Mounds View Campus Is Medtronic's Largest Facility

New Mounds View campus is Medtronic's largest facility The $95 million project consolidates about 3,000 Medtronic employees who had been scattered in six facilities throughout the Twin Cities into one campus consisting of three eight-story towers and a five-level parking deck on 84 acres. Medtronic pacemakers bounced thousands of times in body-temperature water to stress-test their contacts. The testing was being done in the new Mounds View headquarters of the companys cardiac rhythm disease management division. Kathy Moore, in the background, oversaw the testing. His name may not be on the building. And, technically speaking, his office isn't even located within its sunny, glassy confines. But Stephen Mahle's imprint on Medtronic's new $95 million headquarters complex in Mounds View for its cardiac rhythm disease management division is evident at just about every turn. Not that the native Minnesotan would admit to it, though. "This building combined the efforts of a huge group of very, very talented and very capable people,'' Mahle said this week. "I really hope it reflects the needs and aspirations and desires of the employees who work within the space.'' Until just a few months ago, the 62-year-old Mahle supervised those employees, having run the $4.9 billion business -- or parts of it -- for the past 27 years. In August, the president's title was turned over to Pat Mackin, and Mahle was named Medtronic's executive vice president and senior health care policy adviser, a move he said was first discussed several years ago with former CEO Art Collins. Still, Mahle considers the Mounds View complex -- the largest Medtronic facility in the world -- one of the peaks of his 36-year career with the Fridley-based company, especially since he counts architecture as an area of Continue reading >>
