Health Ranger: How I Beat Type-2 Diabetes Using Food, Nutrition And Exercise, Avoiding A Lifetime Of Insulin And Toxic Pharma Drugs

Health Ranger: How I Beat Type-2 Diabetes Using Food, Nutrition And Exercise, Avoiding A Lifetime Of Insulin And Toxic Pharma Drugs

Health Ranger: How I beat type-2 diabetes using food, nutrition and exercise, avoiding a lifetime of insulin and toxic pharma drugs Two decades ago, I was on the path to a lifetime of type-2 diabetes. Living on processed foods and lacking exercise, I suffered from hypoglycemia, high cholesterol and numerous other health problems. Like millions of people have now achieved, however, I turned my health around with simple but powerful changes in food, nutrition and exercise. In doing that, I learned something the medical establishment has long sought to prevent people from realizing: Type-2 diabetes can be prevented, reversed and CURED in most (but not all) cases. Its not even very difficult in most cases, especially when addressed in its early stages. Type-2 diabetes isnt really a disease in the classic sense; its just physiological cause and effect. The symptoms of diabetes, in other words, have causes. And if you remove those causes, you halt the symptoms and no longer have the disease at all. (This simple realization remains completely taboo in the medical establishment today, which continues to absurdly insist that disease occur spontaneously, without cause, in violation of the basic laws of the universe.) Over the last 15 years, through Natural News and other sites like Prevention.news , Ive helped tens of millions of other people learn about healing foods, nutrition and reversing disease. Yet the incessant propaganda of the processed food industry and the anti-science lies of the medical establishment continue to deprive the masses of the simple knowledge they need to eliminate type-2 diabetes for life. This is all by design, of course. The pharma drug cartels dont profit from people being well. They only profit from ongoing sickness and disease. To them, diabetes i Continue reading >>

Ithrive Video Series - Turning Diabetes Around - The Diabetes Forum Support Community For Diabetics Online

I'm watching each day videos released by iThrive.com for a video series (and yes there is a pitch to buy the series) about turning around diabetes. It's nine episodes and #4 was today. It's heading toward eating a plant-based diet but bashing LCHF as harmful. I listened to the science presented and it sounds good except for the fact that humans have been eating meat and fat for many years but it's only in the last 35 years obesity and diabetes has become an epidemic. #4 has an interview with Rip Esselstyn author of "Engine 2 Diet." My husband is a firefighter and I knew he had the book and I got it out and remembered why I rejected it. It's exceptionally extreme. The recipes have too many ingredients. And it's based on a lot of soy, which I try to avoid because of GMO. Additionally, it has branded products which speak to me of preservatives and over processing. As a person with depression, I would not be able to work with so many ingredients. With the way the recipes are presented, it looks like they are mimicking foods many Americans eat. I can see this diet as a temporary medical intervention diet, but not with the recipes in the books. I would prefer just to eat the nutrient-dense plant foods in a much different way. I participate in another Web forum (not diabetes-related) in which someone (who, to my knowledge, is not diabetic) was, well, "selling" this series. I watched the first video. Well, a portion of it. After about 20 minutes of seeing uncontrolled diabetes being compared figuratively to the Black Plague and watching a lot of people being so hard on themselves for pasts they can no longer change, I skipped to the end. Frankly, the program does not present well to me. The first video runs for almost an hour and a half and really did not get to nuts and bolts Continue reading >>

9 Unexpected Triggers Of Diabetes

9 Unexpected Triggers Of Diabetes

Diabetes has become an epidemic, instances of those developing type 2 diabetes are increasing at an alarming rate. We know that a poor diet that is high in sugar and animal protein combined with inactivity are two common factors of the typical Western diet and way of life that can lead to type 2 diabetes. What is not very well-known and not often discussed is that there are many are dealing with this disease for lesser-known reasons that are sometimes completely out of their control. Recommended: Free iThrive Docu-series. Learn how to reverse diabetes and obesity. In this day and age, we are exposed to thousands of chemicals in our environment, usually every day. Chemicals are found in everything from the food we eat, the air we breathe, the clothes we wear, the water we drink and, quite frankly virtually every aspect of our lives, and a lot of them are bad. The effects of all these chemicals (the bad ones) is almost like the elephant in the room, its not often that fingers are pointed to these chemicals and the potential harm they are doing to our bodies. Certain chemicals like the BPA found in plastic and canned goods, vehicle exhaust and phthalates, these common environmental chemicals can alter our health in several different ways. A cost analysis published in the Lancet in 2016 stated that diseases related to everyday household chemicals cost the United States $340 billion annually, let that sink in for a moment. An increasing amount of research has been pointing towards many other environmental contaminants and chemicals that can drastically increase your risk of developing type 2 diabetes. In fact, there are much more important factors to be aware of, its not only diet and physical activity like we have been led to believe. What Chemicals Can Trigger Type 2 Diab Continue reading >>

Diabetes And Obesity: How You Can Survive And Thrive

Diabetes And Obesity: How You Can Survive And Thrive

Diabetes and obesity: How you can survive and thrive Diabetes and obesity: These diseases now affect tens of millions of people worldwide. Their global prevalence has been on the rise since the 80s and shows little sign of slowing down. Sadly, far from just impacting the lives of adults and the elderly, diabetes and obesity have spread to the youth as well. As of 2017, over 12 million children and teenagers in the United States alone are considered obese . Every year, more than 3,500 children and teenagers are diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes and thats just in the United States. Obesity and diabetes rates among adolescents have been on the rise in the United Kingdom as well, with there being 33.2 cases of Type 2 diabetes identified in every 100,000 children annually. What awaits these children is a reality that adults who suffer from the condition grapple with every day The increased risk of heart disease and stroke , kidney disease, and high blood pressure, the elevated chances of amputation, blindness, and dental disease. Still, nothing could prepare them from theknowledge that premature death can occur at any given moment. Thats not even going into the cost of living with diabetes. The prices for medication, custom-mademedical supplies, and physician office visits are nothing short of astronomical, to say the least. In fact, the average diabetes patient can spend twice as much as a regular patient. The annual medical expenditures of a diabetes patient can come to about $13,700 on average ; roughly $7,900is attributed to the disease itself. As a morbidly obese Type 2 diabetic, Jon McMahon knows all about the turmoil brought on by diabetes and obesity. Hes been fortunate enough to survive one diabetes heart attack but knows that the next could very well be his last. Ami Continue reading >>

“sugar Does Not Cause Diabetes”: Did The Film What The Health Get It Right?

“sugar Does Not Cause Diabetes”: Did The Film What The Health Get It Right?

The documentary What the Health is receiving a huge amount of attention and most of it is positive. Many reports of people attempting to eat better are filling social media. I discussed the film on a local TV station in Detroit after two reporters indicated that the movie had made a big impact on their diets. There have even been reports that restaurants serving healthier fare have seen an uptick in customers attributing the change to the film. I have seen this in my own plant-based restaurant and have a What The Health Happy Hour that has been very popular. Naturally, there have been critics of the movie defending their viewpoint that meat based diets are healthy, but most have rallied around a statement in the film by Neal Barnard, MD that “sugar does not cause diabetes”. As the answer to this question may be important to you, I have done some research and share it here but this is in NO way an endorsement to add back soda and candy bars to your diet. In a world stressed by growing obesity and its medical consequences, limiting sugar is a universal recommendation from all health experts. 1) Type 1 diabetes is not caused by sugar. All agree on this as type 1 diabetes is considered an autoimmune disease leading to destruction of the insulin producing cells in the pancreas. However, patients with type 1 diabetes can develop and reverse insulin resistance (IR) in their muscles and liver so understanding the origin of IR is important. 2) Who is Neal Barnard, MD? Dr. Barnard is a graduate of the George Washington University School of Medicine and an adjunct associate professor of medicine there. He has published over 70 scientific publications (including long term studies on diet and diabetes) and 18 books including several New York Times bestsellers on health and diabe Continue reading >>

I Thrive - Rising from the depths of Diabetes and Obesity Series I Thrive - Rising from the depths of Diabetes and Obesity Series Is anyone else watching? The first episode is available now. It's a free series, but the episodes are only available for 24 hrs. I imagine the series will be for sale later down the road. So far the doctors seem quite varied to me; Dr. Fung and Dr. Ornish, to name two. Though part one mostly talks about how diabetes has become more prevalent and even pandemic. Think of the consequences if you do nothing Thank you for posting this. I signed up and just watched the first episode. I am 71 years old, with both heart disease and diabetes, along with obesity, or should I say, brought on by obesity. This first episode crushed me. It really made me feel that there was no hope for me. I assume they are going to go on and tell what to do about it, and I hope I don't die before they show it. I hate to sound so melodramatic, but they really painted a bleak picture. Having said that, I must add that I think I already know what I should be doing about it, but staying the course is hard. "The first step to solving a problem is to admit that one exists." Thanks for the heads up! I had two emails inviting me but both were buried in my junk mail. I signed up and watched the first episode. I like the guy doing the documentary. Im looking forward to future episodes. I hope to learn a few things, hopefully, some additional tools to use. Get the right perspective. When Goliath came against the Israelites, the soldiers all thought, He is so big. We can never kill him." David looked at the same giant and thought, "He is so big. I can't miss." ~ Russell Johnston I haven't had a chance to watch episode 2 yet, but I'm concerned if this is going the way of the document Continue reading >>

I so much wanted to like this. When i saw the Dr Jason Fung was part of this was exited. Dr Fung promotes a higher fat low carb diet and fasting and that works great. I completely agree with not eatin...g processed or fast foods. But after the 4th episode it was too much i had to quit watching. There is so much science to back up a higher fat low carb diet. Just to start Dr. Stephen Phinney Dr. Jeff Volek have some of the best research out there and many others. My wife and i have been on a ketogenic diet for a year. She has reversed her diabetes and i have lost 75lbs and are thriving and getting healthier by the day. I have many friends that also are on a ketogenic diet some for more then a decade. The Ketogenic is not a fad! The term ketogenic has been around since the early 1900s. See More I have been truly engaged in following Jon McMahon's journey each night and will miss seeing him, and hearing from all the doctors and other knowledgea y knew that... he would come upon the answer of changing lifestyle when it comes to food. I had done just that about 10 years ago, and felt as if I'd lived in a state of grace for the next three years. During that time, I had very few food cravings, I had changed my taste in food to fresh and healthy, and I naturally lost weight without having to try. Unfortunat ely, I was diagnosed with melanoma in 2010 and the balance I had attained was breached with the effects of surgery and drugs. In recent years, I've had to go back on a statin and a blood pressure drug, as I've gained over 50 pounds. There is diabetes in my family, but my mom beat it with diet years ago. Unfortunat ely, my brother, who looks just like Jon - same height, weight, etc. - was diagnosed about a year ago. I have tried to get him to watch the series with me. Whethe Continue reading >>
