OK, I want to talk about insulin here. I'm going to talk about how to use it properly, the different types, and what to expect from it. But first and foremost I'm going to talk about safety. Insulin is nothing to fuck around with, and if you're fairly new to the world of performance enhancement and/or nutrition and training, don't even consider doing something like insulin!! Insulin can kill you quick. I'm talking about a dirt nap within a couple hours if you're not careful. HOWEVER, there are really only a couple ways you can fuck it up. The biggest way to fuck up insulin is incorrect measurement. If I tell you to take 5 units of insulin and you load up 5cc's as you would a steroid shot, or even load up 5 units as you would a GH shot, you are probably going to die. 5 units of insulin means 5 tiny little lines or “clicks” on an insulin syringe. It will look like hardly anything in the needle, this is powerful shit and it doesn't take much at all to do it's job. The second biggest way to fuck up insulin is to not eat properly after administering it. As a general rule, for every 1 unit of insulin you inject, you need to take 10 grams of carbohydrates with it. This needs to be done within 15 minutes of injecting insulin. Depending on what type of insulin you use, you will want another meal within 60-90 minutes after that, and that will be a solid meal including fats, proteins, and carbs. After getting familiar with insulin and how your body reacts to it, you may find you can change the ratio to 7 grams carbs/ unit of insulin, or may need to raise it slightly, but for a first time insulin user, 10 grams/unit minimum, and err on the side of overkill at first!!! I've only done test for offseason gains but I want to add in humulin r for a few reasons other than just being easy to get. I know its best run with growth but that is for the future - for me anyway. I fully understand quick acting insulin as I have devoted much time over the years to understanding how to use it though I have overlooked R until just recently. While trying to understand it can some of you contribute general rules or 'musts' while using it? I'm talking mainly about when youll need to eat carbs and how to figure out how many you'll need. This shows you the proper peak times of Lilly's different types of insulin. Typically carbs range per person from 7-12 grams per iu. Some can get away with less some more. The best thing you can Donizetti find your normal levels with a glucose meter and try and make them match essentially by adjusting the amount of insulin and carbs you take in. Obviously the more carbs you consume over what you actually need the more likely you will be to obtain excess fat. So its still the same amount of carbs per IU just spread out over the duration? So 10iu Humulin with breakfast...I should eat 40g carbs at breakfast and probably 40g of carbs in 2 hrs...and 40g carbs again in 4 hrs? I would say you may be cutting yourself a little short on the second meal because that's where the actual peak is closest to. I'd hit 70 carbs that meal and lower the amount in your first and third meals assuming they're all complex carbs. But like I said the best way to know what's best for you is to use a glucose meter. I can't say you'll for sure be good to go as I'm not you however this here is the way I'd do it. Play around with it and keep extra carbs on hand. Just realize the peak is much further away than humalog and contrary to what people think humulin r really only peaks one time. You just have to time it right to not go hypo. Hey guys, today I just did my first Humulin R insulin shot. I had some u-100 syringes on hand and found out last night that insulin is over the counter, which I did not know. Anyways, I am going to post what I am doing and plan to do and ask a few questions to make sure I am doing this as safe as possible. First of all, I started out with a 2 IU shot immediately after my workout. Few minutes later took an N-Large weight gain shake containing 90grms carbs and 52grms protein. About an hour to an hour and a half after the shot and the shake I plan to eat another moderate to high carb meal. I plan to increase my dose by 1 IU every workout until I reach about 7 IU. (I am 5'8" at 160lbs.) Since I will only be taking it after my workouts, which are in the mornings, I only take on the days i lift, correct? Rule of thumb-- 1 IU per 20lbs. body weight? 10grms carbs for every 1 IU. If I am only taking these low doses, is it ok to be taking in this many carbs after the workout? EX. 2-3 IU with 90grms carbs. Also how long should one stay on insulin without a break? How much should I expect to gain? Sorry this is so long-- I just want to make sure I am doing this to the book cause I am very aware at how dangerous it can be. Any suggestions and tips would be greatly appreciated guys! First of all, if you are beginner in the performance enhancing supplementation aspect of the sport (or any for that matter), STAY AWAY FROM INSULIN! If you don’t know how to use it correctly you can die! This shit is no joke for the least bit, and should be taken very seriously, more then any other PED out there. I mean, it’s hard to really mess up using it, but if you do you’re looking at possibly serious death within hours of usage. WHY TAKE IT? It’s simple, to get bigger, fuller, harder. Insulin will DRIVE glycogen and nutrients directly into the muscle, and producing more muscle gains. It’s that simple. If you do it correctly, the results can be amazing, as insulin is the most anabolic agent available…nothing compares, especially when you pair it with HGH (human growth hormone) and anabolic steroids (AAS). HOW TO MESS UP USING IT First error many do is taking the wrong dosage. I tell someone to take 5 units, that dose not mean 5cc on a regular syringe. That also does not mean 5iu on a insulin needle. If you would do the 5cc, you would be 100% dead within minutes, hell even doing the 5iu will cause some problems if you aren’t prepared on-hand for it. 5 units is just 5 little tiny markers on the syringe.
