Humulin N, 70/30 Pens to Be Replaced by KwikPens Eli Lilly has announced that their Humulin N ( insulin isophane suspension [NPH]) and Humulin 70/30 ( insulin isophane suspension [NPH] 70% [human, recombinant], regular insulin 30% [human, recombinant]) original prefilled pens will be phased out in the first quarter of 2014. Humulin N and Humulin 70/30 are indicated for adults with diabetes mellitus to improve glycemic control, and Humulin N is also indicated for children with diabetes mellitus.
