I had no diabetes before this , but the medication i was taking gave me type 1 diabetes as a side effect, after taking it for 6 months. In hospital, my bgl blood sugar reading was 35 and 50, the highest blood sugar reading in years. The average bgl blood sugar is between 3.5 - 8.0 bgl....20 bgl blood sugar reading is coma level........ God told me that i would have no diabetes after 3 mths. The doctors stopped my medication and after 3 months i was healed of drug induced type 1 diabetes and blindness. I came off a very high doseage of insulin. God, Food And Healing
Author's Perspective: God, as the True Healer, has provided us with four key mechanisms to heal our bodies through His Name. During my diabetes lectures to various churches, I usually ask the congregation what are the 4 key mechanisms that God uses to help us heal our bodies from disease. Most of the congregation are able to guess one of the mechanisms (prayer), but they are unable to figure out what the other three are. I can't tell you the number of times I've heard people tell me that God will answer their prayers -- when, in fact, God had already answered their prayers, but they weren't listening to His message! As a result, a lot of people sit around praying, waiting for God to answer them -- when God has already given them the answer! So, instead of always praying to God, sometimes we should use meditation to listen to God and use our inner spirit. There are many simple ways to tap into the power of healing of your Body and Mind by reading the Bible and tapping into your inner spirit. When we get sick and end up in the hospital, we praise God for saving our lives, but, we continue to ignore His message! We refuse to change our eating habits and lifestyle and follow the Scriptures. Instead we rely on man's drugs and medications instead of God's super foods! We also fail to use our brains to acquire the power of knowledge about nutrition, disease, and drugs. Instead of thinking and empowering ourselves, we give up our power to Man and his drugs. p.s. So, if you haven't figured it out yet, the other 3 mechanisms are meditation, God's foods and our brains. God Wants To Heal...
Hi Everyone, I'm new to this board. I was just wondering what your views are on God and His healing power. I have a 5 year old who was diagnosed in December, but the Word of God says "by my stripes you ARE healed". I KNOW the doctors say that Type 1 is forever, but there's 2 reports, the Doctor's and God's. God doesn't lie. Our son was healed 2000 years ago when Jesus took our sicknesses and infirmities to the cross...his healing will be manifested because it is God's promise that IF we abide in Him and He in us that we can ask whatever we will and it WILL be done. All we have to do is have the faith to see it. He healed when He walked the earth(yesterday) and when we enter Heaven we're healed(forever)...and He's the same yesterday, TODAY, and forever. God is ready to do it, our faith is what puts it into action. It WILL happen, all we have to do is believe...and RECEIVE! God Bless! D.D. But what if that is not the plan? If you decide that a miracle will occur and not give the insulin, the child may die. The hand of God could be guiding the researcher that will eventually find a cure. That could be the miracle we all hope for. On December 19, 2014, I woke up to a phone call from a diabetic educator. This struck me as a little odd because I hadnt been officially diagnosed with diabetes yet (the nurse who called me the day before said I had blood sugar levels they saw in Type 1 Diabetics). I scheduled my appointment with her after meeting with the doctor who would tell me that I do in fact have Type 1 Diabetes. That day was filled with several activities to keep me busy: a doctor appointment, trying (and failing) to get my insulin, meeting with a diabetic educator, picking up blood sugar testing supplies, successfully picking up insulin, packing my car, and driving six hours home from my university for winter break. I had been so busy doing things, and it had come on so quickly (I hadnt even realized how sick I was), that I didnt really have time to emotionally process my diagnosis. When I finally paused and reflected on my situation, I felt incredibly frustrated at the utter lack of fairness. I was convinced I had done nothing to deserve this horrible disease. I angrily questioned God about why, after the worst couple months of my life, He decided to give me diabetes. He was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes 3 years ago. From time to time, he tells how he checks his blood sugar levels with his glucometer, and they are normal. He swears he doesnt have Type 1 Diabetes, but his doctors assure him that he does. He even assures me that he drinks normal drinks and eats what he wants and whenever he wants, all causing no ill effect to his blood sugar levels. The biggest mystery of all, is that this teenager proudly boasts that he hasnt had to have insulin shots for almost his whole diabetic life, all excluding two months after he was first diagnosed. He firmly believes that he does NOT have Type 1 Diabetes. Somewhere, in this bizarre little scenario, this kid got his hands on a book entitled, The Dynamic Laws Of Healing -a self help book written in the 1960s. The boy (who would have been 13 at the time,) came away from reading this book rich with the firm belief that if the mind is powerful, and you truly believe that you arent sick, then the body will reject the fact that its sick and heal itself. Shortly after my diabetes diagnosis, family and friends flooded me with words of encouragement, prayers and gifts of comfort. Among the many stuffed animals and cards that I received was a CD series given to me by a well-meaning family member.The CDs included sermons by a prominent pastor along with a note stating that if I prayed relentlessly, recited scripture, and sought God diligently, healing would be mine. Now, at the age of 15, I identified as a radical believer. I had not yet experiencedthe seasons of doubt and philosophical questions that beset many teens and young adults. Instead, I religiously invited friends to Bible studies and services and dedicated myself to serving in various church ministries. Despite the faith I exuded, I was still taken aback by this religious gift and the notion that if I believed God hard enough, I would be healed of my diabetes. My dismay did not come from a lack of belief, but instead from my family members subtle suggestion that the only answer to my diabetes diagnosis was divine intervention. I was frustrated by her sentiment that meaningful support meant suggesting I pray a little harder and exhibit more radical faith.Although it would be great to wake up with a well-functioning pancreas and though I wouldnt mind Gods healing touch, that has not been my reality. This piece of work is a personal experience how I healed myself from diabetes through the power of prayer. If you just have a little bit of faith, you would heal from your struggles financial situation or the most terribles illness. It is just with a little bit of faith. I am Catholic and recognize that I know almost nothing about Gods word, but I do know that a miracle worked by the Holy Spirit saved my life. I suffered from diabetes for over 25 years. As a Catholic, I like to pray the Holy Rosary, but one day I felt inside of me the need to talk with God face to face. Then I decided to do a round of prayer of six hours straight. It began at six AM and continued until noon. For this special occasion, I prepared an altar: a little center table where I placed an image ofJesus, a Bible, Holy water, a white rose, a white candle, incense, a Holy Rosary, a little book explaining the Holy Rosary recitations, Novena of Divine Jesus Child, and I dressed myself completely in white. During my prayers I remembered a biblical quote by Jesus: All you should ask for, ask it the merits of my infancy, and all you have asked for it will be conceded. Therefore I beg being healed of the arthritis pain from my right hand. Days later having concluded the round of prayer, I noted that my arthritis pain was gone. I am a proof of this. O am 23yrs old. This year in early June, I was diagnosed with diabetes type 1. It was a trying time for me because the doctor told me it was not curable but had to be managed. I cannot describe the great suffering I passed through as I had to inject myself on my tommy two to three times a day. I was placed on diet and everything I ate had to be weighed. There were lots and lots of food I was prohibited from eating. In addition to that, I was physically weak. I couldn't do many of the things I used to do. There were so many dos and don'ts I had to abide by. In addition to this, other sicknesses came along with the diabetes.
