Easy Yoga Techniques For Diabetics Patients
Diabetes is a disease that results when the body does not produce sufficient hormones to break down the sugar that is ingested. This results because of the deterioration pancreas - the only organ in the body that can produce insulin. Insulin helps in regulating the sugar in the blood by converting it into energy. When the insulin is not sufficient, the sugar does not get converted. Instead it gets accumulated in the blood causing a number of symptoms such as fatigue, unusual thirst, excessive urination, loss of weight and many other complications. No wonder, diabetics has been termed the 'Mother of all Diseases' by the medical industry. The sad reality is that irrespective of all the research being done, the medical industry is yet to come up with a permanent solution to reactivate the deteriorated beta cells of the pancreas. The best these medicines can do is control diabetics while the dosage keeps increasing as time progresses. Yoga is an ancient method of exercising body and mind for maintaining all its functions at their optimum level. Almost all the diseases known to man can be addressed by yoga and diabetes can be controlled by it as well. There are many postures and breathing exercises in yoga which would induce the pancreas to produce enough insulin to regulate the sugar in the body. These asanas (postures) not only repair the pancreatic cell but also induce them to secrete insulin. Some of the asanas that have proved beneficial for controlling and reversing type 2 diabetes are briefly described below: Caution: Please do not attempt any of the asanas on your own unless you have been guided by a yoga guru or certified teacher. 1. Try pranayama for thediabetes cure. Kapalabhati is a Sanskrit word where Kapala means skull, and bhati means "to shine." This dynamic purification exercise has noteworthy benefits like providing a bath of recently sanitised blood to the brain and clearance of nasal passages. Think of kapalabhati as an abdominal exhalation exercise. Sit upright in a comfortable position and then inhale. Keep in mind not to move your chest and shoulders. Just exhale completely. Now youll feel some commotion in your diaphragmatic muscle. It should be noted how the first segment of the exhalation is completely natural and how forcing out more air will lead to acontraction in the abdominal muscles. Unless you feel you are beginning to use the abdominal muscles to complete the exhalation, continue this for few times. The exhalation in kapalabhati is petite, dominant, and absolute, and it takes thedue amount of practice to become faultless. Set in motion by ascertaining a baseline of profound and levelled nasal breathing. Begin with anexhalation of contracting the face of abdomen muscles--from just below the ribs to the pelvis--strongly and swiftly, forcing the air out of the nostrils. Keeping in mind there is no other activity and no blockage of the nostrils, this shall conclude in the throwing out Continue reading >>

4 Yoga Poses To Cure Diabetes At Home
Follow these simple pranayams and asanas to control blood glucose levels Study after study at top Western universities confirm and reiterate what our ancient science has been preaching all along -that positive health effects of yoga are bountiful. For one, yoga stimulates the organs which in turn improves metabolic activities. This means that the chemical transformations within a cell are carried out more efficiently. This makes it a highly beneficial exercise for those suffering from diabetes -a complex condition which occurs due to lack of insulin production by the pancreas or lack of cell response to insulin, resulting in a multitude of metabolic imbalances involving the regulation and utilisation of insulin and glucose (sugar) in the body. In fact, a study published in the journal, Evidence-Based Complementary and Alternative Medicine, last year analysed available research looking at yoga's influence on diabetes and complications of diabetes (for instance, kidney problems and high blood pressure) and found that regular yoga practise led to shortterm improvements in fasting glucose and cholesterol levels. The research, conducted by Marshall Govindan and Dr Emilia RipollBunn, also found that the direct stim ulation of the pancreas by certain postures rejuvenated its capacity to produce insulin. Yoga practitioner Sabir Shaikh adds, "A few asanas help balance the functioning of the endocrine system. It massages and tones the abdominal organs like pancreas and liver, stimulate the nervous and circulatory system which in turn helps in controlling diabetes." Diabetologist Dr Pradeep Gadge concurs. "Besides medication", he says, "Yogic asanas help in harmonising the body, breath and mind, thereby contributing to the overall health of the individual. Asanas help in optimal se Continue reading >>

Is Yoga A Cure-all For Diabetes?
I always thought that yoga was a cure-all. In fact I was absolutely convinced it was. That’s why it was so hard to believe that someone like me, a yoga teacher for over 23 years, could end up being a late onset adult type 1 diabetic. But now, almost seven years since my diagnosis, I’m convinced that it’s because I’ve practiced yoga almost half my life that I’ve been able to a manage it so well. Diabetes Is Complicated Diabetes is a complicated disease. On the surface it seems to be about sugar. And it is, because the body runs on sugar and sugar feeds the brain. But diabetes is really about how the sugar is managed by the body. Too much sugar in the body is like having too much acid in your car battery; it corrodes the machinery. Not enough sugar, and the brain is starved for food. A diabetic is just like anyone else, except that the pancreas and its major hormone insulin, which regulates the sugar in the body, both don’t behave like they should. Insulin acts like a door that brings energy into the cells. In a diabetic, there either isn’t enough of it, none at all, or the cells resist it. When I was diagnosed, I buried my head in the sand, telling myself it was a parasite that had gotten out of hand. I armed myself with herbs and alternative treatments, changed my diet, kept up my rigorous yoga practice, and hoped for the best. But hope never cured a thing. How Yoga Can Help If you’re diabetic and have always wanted to do yoga or have already started a yoga practice, I offer you my 30 years of practical experience and say YES! Yoga has profound benefits, the most important one being that it mitigates stress. You see, anyone, no matter what their health condition, knows that stress plays a major part in either the onset or progression of an illness. Breat Continue reading >>
Diabetes Symptom – How Yoga Control And Cure Diabetes?
What is diabetes? Diabetes occurs due to a disorder of metabolism. People of any age get diabetes. The body does not produce sufficient insulin or use it properly. So it leads to high glucose in the blood. What we eat, is broken down into glucose energy (a form of sugar in the blood). This blood glucose is very important for the proper function of the body. This glucose moves from the blood to body cells for growth and energy. But in this insulin plays an important role for glucose to get into cells. Insulin is a hormone which is produced by the pancreas. When we eat the pancreas produces enough insulin to carry glucose from the blood into the cells. Those people having diabetes, the pancreas does not produce enough insulin so blood glucose (sugar) does not get into the body cell. It passes out of the body in the urine. Body cells find unable to grow and produce energy which is very important for healthy living. Diabetes Symptom Frequent urination Feeling very thirsty Feeling very hungry even after eating Extreme fatigue – tiredness Blurry vision – Poor eyesight Weight loss Itching in the body Slow healing of wounds Low sexual power If you are having these diabetes symptoms then should start to take care immediately. Here’s 3 tricks to manage your diabetes that your doctor won’t tell you: Eat More Fat You read that right. Eat more fat. That’s because fat helps your body absorb insulin. Here’s some great sources: 2. Fish Eggs (Any eggs labeled “enriched” have plenty of omega-3) Grass-fed beef (There’s lots of omega-3 in the grass) 3. Not to mention it’ll get rid of stress, and give you plenty of energy. Relax Laying back and keeping cool are vital to regulating your blood sugar.
