Once that target blood glucose range has been reached, the system's function is to recommend a titration of insulin, glucose, and saline for the purpose of maintaining the patient's blood glucose level in that target range. Working At Atlanta Diabetes Associates In Atlanta, Ga: Employee Reviews | Indeed.com

PRN(Former Employee) Atlanta, GA June 18, 2015 I worked from a home office, but often times the employees needed help from one another to adjust an account and get the patients records straight. Everyone was always willing to help and responded immediately to emails and phone calls, getting whatever issue that may have been, get resolved as quickly and professionally as possible. I learned a lot about the inner workings of insurance companies and the health world. It opened me up to a lot of new experiences and gave me a good general knowledge about working with insurance, which I believe opened up a lot of opportunity for me professionally. My manager was incredible, she was always willing to help me if I was stuck, especially in the beginning but also pushed me to get better and be confident enough to resolve issues on my own. The hardest part about the job was dealing with the insurance companies that didn't want to help, but overall they were usually willing to work with you, only a select few made my job more difficult. The most enjoyable part of the job was definitely the other co-workers. I did not even know any of them since we all worked from home, but the relationship you formed with them while working together was very respectful and enjoyable. Continue reading >>

Endocrinology, Diabetes & Metabolism, Internal Medicine 20 Providers 1800 Howell Mill Rd Nw Ste 450, Atlanta GA, 30318 Parathyroid (Gland) Tumor: Other than Malignant 1800 Howell Mill Rd Nw Ste 450, Atlanta, GA 30318 Excellent , caring doctor. Goes the extra mile for his patience. I have seen Dr. Bode since 1992. He has been the best doctor Ive ever had out of all the specialists and doctors Ive ever seen. He has guided me in diabetes control through 2 successful pregnancies and also through difficult times. I wouldnt hesitate to recommend him. I've not had favorable experiences with Dr. Ownby's medical assistant. A week ago I asked him for a copy of a standing lab order and as of 10/12 I don't have it yet. I asked for FMLA paperwork to be completed and he first said he couldn't find it; then he called to argue about my employer's... Worst experience I've ever had with a doctor. PCP referred me to Dr. Le Blanc. I called the office multiple times, but couldn't get through to anyone. I had to drive to the office to make my appointment. When I asked Dr. LeBlanc what was causing my hyperthyroidism, she condescendingly put her hand... Dr. Welch is an old school doctor with incredible attention to his patients. He is very sincere and caring. Refreshing to meet a doctor that really cares about each and every patient. I am a relatively new patient but clearly see his intellectual abilities and vast experience in the medical field.... I recommend Dr. Welch frequently. He has taken very good care of me over the last several years....and he is a cool guy! Dr. Spencer Welch is a National Medical Treasure at a time when quality doctors find it difficult to get the insurance companies to do the right thing for patients. He was our endocrinologist for many years, and is now our GP. We Continue reading >>

"Her gout's acting up. Turns out an apple pie a day does not keep the doctor away." -- The Big Bang Theory: Season 7, Episode 9So the problem checking in here is people think you are a diabetic - when actually no... I have thyroid issues. I see Dr. Roberston and have for almost a decade. In that time, his office has gone through a few transformations and this one has been the most efficient.First, this one is laid out much better - more spread out (people aren't working on top of one another) and they have multiple labs to handle all the blood draws that go on here - gone are the hour waits for blood work. The front desk seems friendlier and more on top of things and insurance issues are a thing of the past (I hope).Dr. Robertson is a great doc. Attentive, conservative without being too much so, takes his time and takes everything into account and will manage all your issues for you and act as a primary care physician if needed. He has done a lot for me and helped diagnose some key issues for me and I'm in much better shape today then I was prior to seeing him. I highly recommend him. I am not diabetic, but was referred by another doctor for my PCOS and possible thyroid issues. I saw Staci Kies- a physician assistant. She was wonderful! Very thorough and answered many questions. The nurses were also very kind and thoughtful. However, the front desk people were a little rude and parking/getting into the building was a bit confusing because I had never been there before. Park in the deck and go up to the 4th floor. Worst experience I've ever had with a doctor. My PCP referred me to Dr. Le Blanc at Atlanta Diabetes, he said she was the "best endocrinologist in Atlanta." Over several days, I called the office multiple times and was unable to speak with someone or schedule a Continue reading >>

My Philosophy and Approach to Wellness... I was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia and received my undergraduate degree from Princeton University. I returned home to attend medical school at Emory University and completed my internship and residency at Emory's Grady Hospital and affiliated hospitals. I completed my fellowship in endocrinology at Emory and have practiced medicine for 18 years at Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta, assisting Piedmont in the development of their Diabetes Resource Center that helps all people with diabetes to lead healthy lives. As an endocrinologist, I take a multi-disciplinary approach to caring for diabetes, which focuses on decreasing patients' blood sugar, blood pressure and cholesterol, as well as concentrates on motivating patients to adopt healthier lifestyle habits in order to be as healthy and active as possible. As an internist and personal physician, my knowledge, experience, insight and technical ability all come together when evaluating and treating every patient. My goal is to get to know my patients well beyond their symptoms and help them identify and achieve their goals. In my personalized healthcare practice, often compared to a concierge medical practice, my patients and I work together throughout the year to keep them on the path to healthier living. I sincerely care about the well-being of all my patients - I have time to listen, educate and be their advocate. In addition to specializing in internal medicine and diabetes, I care for patients with thyroid disorders, metabolic bone disease (osteoporosis), hormone deficiencies and/or excesses resulting from pituitary or adrenal disorders, and I treat problems associated with testosterone deficiency in men. Some organization health care providers are made up of components that furnish different types of health care or have separate physical locations where health care is furnished. These components and physical locations are not themselves legal entities, but are part of the organization health care provider (which is a legal entity). A covered organization provider may decide that its subparts (if it has any) should have their own NPI numbers. If a subpart conducts any HIPAA standard transactions on its own (e.g., separately from its parent), it must obtain its own NPI number. Thanks - Your review has been submitted! Anthem Blue Cross is Out of Network for Piedmont Healthcare System Piedmont Healthcare on behalf of their many providers, including Atlanta Diabetes Associates, has been in discussions with Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield on a new contract to cover the physician and hospital services we provide to Anthem Blue Cross commercial members employer-sponsored and non-employer sponsored individual/family health plans. We are disappointed that the Piedmont Healthcare System have been... unable to reach an agreement with Anthem Blue Cross for a renewed contract. We believed that both parties were negotiating in good-faith and had planned to reach an agreement by March 31. It didnt become clear to us that Anthem Blue Cross didnt share that goal until the end of negotiations. That said, we remain fully committed to ensuring our patients have access to the care they need with the providers they trust. While Anthem Blue Cross has taken Piedmont Healthcare/Atlanta Diabetes Associates out of its network, members can continue to see their Piedmont physicians, but in most cases will have a higher out-of-pocket or out of network costs. We know this is difficult for our patients, and we will do whatever we can to help our patients manage the impact of this disruption. People should be paid fairly for the good work they do. This is part of the fabric of our country and a core value we share with our communities. What Anthem Blue Cross is offering our doctors does not even cover the annual rate of inflation, but they will tell you that we are asking for unfair rate increases. One only needs to look at the small community hospitals across Georgia and the country that are closing their doors to see why fair rates are important. Piedmont Healthcare strongly believes in the value of keeping care Continue reading >>
