How To Locate The Reflexology Pancreas Zone

How to Locate the Reflexology Pancreas Zone How to Locate the Reflexology Pancreas Zone How to Locate the Reflexology Pancreas Zone. The pancreas is a gland organ in the digestive system. The pancreas secretes digestive enzymes, hormones and other fluids such as insulin. With reflexology you stimulate and remove stress from the pancreas by applying pressure to certain zones on the hands and feet. Locating these zones is easy. Reflexology helps people keep their pancreas healthy. Allow the patient to relax and get comfortable before beginning. This is an essential part of reflexology. If the patient is not comfortable the body does not relax and adds more stress to more organs. Place the right hand of the patient in your hand. Rub your thumb down the patient's thumb and down to the palm of their hand. Apply pressure on the ridge of the hand in the fatty part below the index finger. This is a pancreas zone. Rub vigorously. Take the other hand into your hand. Repeat the process in Step 2 but apply the pressure below the middle finger instead of the index. For the best results, rub at the bottom of the hand close to the wrist. Place the patient's foot in your hands and rub on the middle inside of the arch. This is the same zone on both feet and stimulates the pancreas. Continue reading >>

Canine Acupressure & Pancreatitis: Meet Ben

Canine Acupressure & Pancreatitis: Meet Ben Nancy Zidonis - Friday, November 25, 2016 By Amy Snow and Nancy Zidonis, Tallgrass Founders This is the true story of Ben. Ben is a 13-year old Golden Retriever with a lovely large frame and a fading red coat. His guardians were told by their veterinarian that his pancreas had failed and it was best to put him down. Bens guardians decided to take him home. Lets back up on Bens story. His guardians were feeding him a relatively high-quality, dry, manufactured food. After a week on a new bag, Ben vomited yellow sudsy bile. They fed him par-boiled meat and rice for a few days and his stomach went back to normal. His guardians assumed it was a temporary upset and they fed Ben the same dry, manufactured food. And again, Ben vomited yellow sudsy bile. For some reason, this rotation of par-boiled meat and rice with the manufactured food went on a few more times. Ben was sick each time they gave him the dry food. Believe it or not, this is really true; they kept feeding him the manufactured food! Finally, Ben was very sick. He was completely lethargic and could not eat or defecate. His guardians rushed him to the veterinarian who thought it was time to put him down. Bens pancreatic function was zero. His guardians brought him home with the hope that natural therapies could bring him around. They live in Colorado very close to the Tallgrass offices and called us. I agreed to go over and see what I could do. Before going to see Ben, Nancy gave me suggested acupoints for pancreatitis. When I got there, Ben was lying flat and not moving a muscle. He didnt even pick up his head when I entered the living room. When I Opened Ben along the Bladder meridian my thumb dropped into deep, cold indents on both sides at the Stomach/Spleen Associati Continue reading >>

3 Unique Pressure Points That Reduce Cancer Symptoms

3 Unique Pressure Points That Reduce Cancer Symptoms Some people perform better under pressure. It turns out that a little bit of pressure may help relieve certain cancer symptoms and treatment side effects. Acupressure a form of massage that reportedly originated in China before the Common Era can alleviate nausea, fatigue, pain and anxiety, research shows. It involves applying pressure to points called acupoints throughout the body to stimulate healing. It is a form of self-massage. Even though acupressure is less widely known than acupuncture in the U.S., acupressure predates acupuncture. Before needles were invented, ancient cultures used sharp stones for acupuncture. Before sharp stones were used, people used fingers to apply pressure to acupoints. Most studies on acupressure and acupuncture in cancer care indicate the therapy is helpful at palliating certain symptoms. Costs and Cancer Centers That Offer Acupressure One of the perks of acupressure is that it can be self-administered at any time, in any location. Acupuncture requires a licensed practitioner and the use of needles, making it an invasive procedure, albeit a minimally invasive one. Acupressure is less commonly offered in cancer centers than acupuncture, but practitioners are found throughout the country and books on acupressure teach people how to effectively self-apply the therapy. A number of cancer centers now offer acupuncture as a complementary treatment. For example, the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute has offered acupuncture since 2000 and is leading the way in standardizing protocols for oncology acupuncture. The cost of acupressure is often lower than acupuncture, especially if you take the self-taught approach. An acupressure session with a trained practitioner can cost $50 to $95, while acupun Continue reading >>

Acupressure means treating the body by applying pressure on specific points called pressure points, located in the hands, feet, face, ears, legs, back, neck, and other parts of the body. Acupressure is suitable for everyone. Contrary to popular belief, this practice was not brought to India from China and other countries. Rather, Chinese visitors to India returned home with Ayurveda texts and propagated the belief worldwide that acupressure was their gift to the world. Ancient Indian texts mention acupressure exhaustively. It will be informative to add here that the centuries-old Indian tradition of wearing bangles, kadas (thick bangles), amulets, anklets, lockets, earrings, and nose rings, etc., was a form of simulated acupressure therapy in those times. The information provided in this article is not a substitute for professional medical advice. Please consult your physician, or health care provider before taking any home remedies or supplements or embarking on a new health regime.
