    I usually eat something with some sugar (maybe 15 grams) and some protein, like a protein bar. It doesn't usually take large amounts of sugar like candy to get the glucose up, and then the protein keeps it up. Something with carbs and protein will work, too, like peanut butter crackers. but I like a little sugar to get it up fast.
